As we reach the halfway point ....
We're almost at the halfway point of summer and so far things have been great. The improvements have all been completed and the addition of WI-FI has proven to be a hit. However there are two areas we'd like to bring your attention to:
Upcoming Events
We have 2 big events coming up:
Teen Party - Tuesday July 12th 8-11pm
Like the pre-teen parties, admission is $5 for both members and non-member. But attendance is limited to those age 13 & over and includes music, swimming and food. We may even have the All-Star game showing. This is only our 2nd go of a teen party so help spread the word. Also note the later hours.
Pre-Teen Party - Monday July 25th 7-10pm
Admission of $5 for both members and non-member includes swimming, food, music, games and prizes. These are ALWAYS a big hit with our younger members.
There is also talk of a Luau for the grown-up folks much like our Toga party last year. We're looking at possibly having it Saturday, July 23rd. Please contact Brenda Trotta or Krista Hughes if you are interested in attending or helping to arrange the event.
Things to keep in mind at the pool
Recently a communication went out to members attending the pool in response to some complaints we've received. It read:
-
Beer is allowed. However we strictly prohibit glass bottles. We also ask that you please be discrete about it. We have coozies for sale in the office for $2.00 (which benefits the swim & dive teams). We are not allowed to have liquor at the pool.
-
Other than water, food and drinks are prohibited at on the pool deck, by law.
-
There has been a lot of trash aroudn the pool. Please make sure you and your family/guests pick up after yourselves to help keep our pool beautiful.
-
Please limit toys on the pool deck as they present a safety hazard. Toys can be played with in the baby pool.
-
Guests are $5.00 and families are $15.00
-
There have already been more "accidents" this year than all of last year. If there is any doubt, please have your child wear a swim diaper.
-
If you have any concerns or questions please talk to the manager. Feedback will help us correct these problems. Our staff's goal is to provide a clean, safe, family-oriented swim club for you to enjoy. Please be respectful of the staff.
The Board of Trustees and the Management staff at Orchard Hill Swim club appreciate your support as we have worked through a number of improvements and transitions this year. Even with the challenging economic times our membership has grown slightly. As item number 7 above states - please contact the manager or any member of the board if you have any concerns or feedback. All of our names (along with other improvements such as an Accuweather Gadget) can be found on our website www. orchardhillswimclub.com We hope you are enjoying the pool this summer and that you'll not only remain a member but also help convince your neighbors/friends to join "the best kept secret in Colerain Township"
